Those Darn Kids Today!

This handy little pamphlet was being given out at a grade school, which apparently means date rape is now a problem among kids who aren't even old enough for a learner's permit. I am having a hard time deciphering the illustration on the cover. Either it is meant to convey the idea that all men are
potential rapists and females should always be suspicious which suggests that Andrea Dworkin is involved somehow, or the picture depicts the moments immediately after a date rape. If the second is the case, which I believe it to be, that has to be one cold blooded rapist. While the girl is all "Holy shit, this asshole just raped me!", Mr. Romance seems to be quite jaunty as he goes on his merry way. Then inside the pamphlet, one finds this:

Here we have a potential date rapist, the fine looking young man with the thoughtful look on his face, learning an important life lesson: You can't rape someone even if you paid for dinner.

In the same stack of literature was also this pamphlet warning of the dangers of child abuse. Here we have the classic moral dilemma: Should I do something about the fact that this grown man is about to beat this kid with a closed fist? Hmmmmm...this is a real chin-scratcher.

Inside, one is treated to another delightful little scene. Here we have an adult giving a little girl a full on uppercut.

Who is this illustrator? I cannot imagine the impenetrable darkness that must reside at the center of his/her soul.
